Into a Secret Dream Garden | The Story Behind My Whimsical Floral Painting

Come closer and explore the details of this expressive contemporary floral painting. Rather than creating a formal botanical study, this artwork brings together loose color, delicate linework and an energetic meadow-like foreground. Pink, turquoise and pale blossoms rise through an atmospheric background while yellow, violet, green and deep blue create moments of contrast throughout the composition. One of my favorite qualities in expressive painting is the conversation between what is defined and what is left unresolved. Some petals have clear boundaries; others seem to dissolve into surrounding color. Fine lines remain visible beside stronger painted passages, allowing the handmade character of the work to stay present. In this video, take a closer look at the colors, surface details and small gestures that can easily disappear when viewing artwork from across a room.
