Have your baby or toddler learn with a real teacher, Ms. Rachel! In this educational video, Ms. Rachel teaches important developmental milestones while demonstrating activities that support your baby’s brain growth and early learning. Babies can enjoy watching and learning, while parents and caregivers discover fun ways to play, connect, and encourage learning throughout the day. Ms. Rachel is an expert at promoting speech, language skills, imaginative play, and social-emotional development while naturally introducing essential early learning concepts. Her teaching methods and curriculum are supported by research and early childhood development specialists. If your child is not reaching developmental milestones, talk with your pediatrician and contact your local early intervention program. Your child may qualify for free or affordable services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, or physical therapy. You can also reach out to a licensed speech-language pathologist for an evaluation. Early support can make a significant difference, so it's best to seek help as soon as possible. In this video, Ms. Rachel teaches: First words including mama, dada, uh-oh, ball, animal sounds, and car sound effects. First sentences such as "What's that?", "I did it!", and "I want toys!" Gestures that help encourage language development. Studies show that babies who use more gestures between 9–16 months often develop stronger verbal language skills later. Aim for around 16 gestures by 16 months. Developmental milestones including clapping, waving, copying gestures, blowing kisses, pointing to body parts, shaking head "no," nodding "yes," pointing with the index finger, holding and shaking toys, giving high fives, using the quiet sign, smiling at people, copying facial expressions, finding hidden objects, and understanding the purpose of everyday items like a spoon, brush, and telephone. Fun activities for babies and toddlers: Peek-a-Boo, Pat-a-Cake, This Little Piggy, blowing bubbles, rolling a ball, stacking blocks, shape sorters, simple puzzles, and more.
