A cold and rainy Monday has me looking out for an empty ng grain heading up from Albany.

I got a 'heads up' of this empty ng grain movement ex Albany, which was heading north to Wagin on the GSR, ( Great Southern Railway). Luckily I was already in the Wagin area at the time, so I just headed south to the next town, Katanning 55.8 kms away, along the Great Southern Highway. Wabtec built CBH 211 & 206, eventually turning up at Katanning, with 52 CGHY grain wagons, around 15:17 hrs. These latest CBH Group grain hopper wagons, now receiving the unwanted attention of the grafitti vandals! :-( After getting the empty grainy at Katanning, I tried for the next stop, Woodanilling with its historic two storey hotel. But nah it beat me there. So next location was at Boyerine, filmed from inside the car! Finally then at Wagin, as 2A80 turned off the GSR, and continued on towards Lake Grace, and either the branch lines to Hyden or Newdegate. There was another empty grain which had also departed from Albany heading north some few hours earlier. And also the stabled grain fleet in Wagin, currenty three grain consists operating in the CBH Group's Albany Port Zone. The stabled train in Wagin yard, be waiting for the next crew book on time.
