Elephant Task Force (ETF) | The Untold Story of Human–Elephant Coexistence | Ramanagara What happens when elephants move beyond the forest and enter human landscapes? Who responds to the call, faces the uncertainty, and works through the night to reduce the conflict? Behind every elephant movement is a team working to protect the delicate balance between human lives and wildlife. Elephant Task Force (ETF) – Ramanagara is a documentary by VIRAMAAYA FILMS that takes you into the real-world experiences of the forest officers and frontline personnel working to mitigate human–elephant conflict in Karnataka. Through firsthand accounts, field experiences, real incidents and connecting visuals, the film explores the rise of the Elephant Task Force, its field operations, the challenges and risks faced by its personnel, the measures adopted to mitigate conflict, and their continued commitment to coexistence. From coordination and tracking elephant movements to working alongside local communities, the documentary offers a closer look at the people behind these efforts — their responsibilities, their struggles and the dedication that keeps them returning to the field. But this is not simply a story about managing conflict. It is a story about understanding two species sharing the same landscape. It is about the farmers living with uncertainty, the forest personnel responding to difficult situations, and the continuous effort required to make coexistence possible. Because coexistence is not achieved in a single operation. It is built through countless decisions, difficult experiences and persistent efforts on the ground. 🌿 ABOUT THE FILM Elephant Task Force – Ramanagara documents the experiences and conservation efforts of the Elephant Task Force and the forest personnel working to mitigate human–elephant conflict.
