Iteso delegation to present gifts to Tooro Kingdom

The Iteso Cultural Union is ready to present gifts to the Tooro Kingdom, led by the Iteso delegation attending the coronation of Prince Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma tomorrow. Addressing journalists this evening, the Union’s Executive Secretary and Head of Diaspora, Davidson Elyau, said the Iteso Paramount Chief, Emorimor Papa Iteso Sanday Emolot, has since received official communication from the Tooro Kingdom confirming Rebecca Amoding, wife of Prince Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma, as the new Tooro Queen. Elyau added that the delegation representing the Iteso at the coronation will deliver the presents on behalf of the Iteso community, symbolising their support for the new Queen and the longstanding ties between the Iteso and Tooro communities.
