Holed up in a cluttered cabin in the woods, he obsessively watches the band, convinced there’s a deeper connection between them. The Dead South’s performance was filmed on a farm just north of Regina, Saskatchewan, while the narrative was shot with Donovan Workun at Greenwood Dairy Farms near Edmonton, Alberta. One of the property’s vintage-filled outbuildings was transformed into our fan’s bizarre home, surrounded by old cars, props and decades of collected oddities. As the band mysteriously appears outside his cabin, fantasy and reality finally collide. When they eventually knock on his door, they find him inside, gorging himself on chicken drenched in butter. Faced with the impossible realization that his obsession has actually arrived on his doorstep, he promptly chokes and dies — giving his lifelong fandom a fittingly absurd end.
