How do you build gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) into a project when you’re not a GEDSI specialist? And where do you start when the link between a hydrological service, or a catchment regulation, and inclusion isn’t obvious?
In the second webinar of our GEDSI and climate resilience series, AWP staff spoke with two technical teams who’ve made it work.
🔹 Vanh Mixap and Tom Stewart (Alluvium) assessed national hydrological services across Pacific Island Countries and Territories, and found equity could be embedded throughout the diagnostic tool they developed.
🔹 Senoveva Mauli (University of Wollongong) and Melita Grant (University of Technology Sydney) revised Samoa’s SIWA Act and Catchment Areas Regulation, writing GEDSI and climate resilience into the law itself.
Watch for approaches you can use on your next project, from people who’ve worked through the same problems.
