Are you able to say that in your daily life, you get the feeling that you are wanted? Is there anyone out there in your world who might say that they view you as irreplaceable? If you, for some reason, think the answer to this question is no, then you and I happen to agree. Whether our belief is true or not remains to be seen. However, there are obvious reasons as to why we feel this way. For starters, personally, I do not know many people, and I talk to even fewer. I have no community that I am a part of, no social gatherings that I'm frequently off to, and no friend group I'm actually in. I pop in and out. Seeing that daily, I only manage to socially interact with the number of people I can count on one hand, how am I meant to convince myself that if I weren't gone, my position in the lives of others who know me would be a void? What could make me, or us, irreplaceable, when we're doing less than drifting with the wind, and sinking? Is there anyone who knows you entirely? Could they still want to know you if they did? The people who do know us, what is it that we do for them, which could make us irreplaceable? Is it hanging out? Playing games? Chatting about life and past experiences? Companionship as itself? I believe that, in this vein, actions and words together define us. What we do at all times, and how we are, along with the actions we take in line with ourselves. How you treat a person and how you talk to a person when you genuinely care is what makes you irreplaceable. It's not about what you can offer materially or physically. We might feel that we offer those things to others, but do not receive such care in the same way, and that leads us to think we can be more of a ghost than a person. Maybe we're living in the past in our heads, or more likely than not, we just haven't heard the words we want to hear from someone, and we haven't seen an act taken for us from nothing other than a caring angle. I'm not saying something dumb like you need to hear someone say I love you and find a partner - That's an entirely different ballpark and topic. What I mean is you need, and perhaps I need to hear from someone that they actually care, that you're thought about, and that they want to keep knowing you. Knowing me, I'd have to see it to believe it, too. Only that will convince some of us that maybe we actually are irreplaceable to some people in our lives. What I'd like to add for our close is as follows. We may not believe that we are cared about and that if we were gone, nothing would change, but the people we know in life would beg to differ. Talk more to the people around you. Tell them how you feel. Leaving all of these thoughts and emotions to churn inside of you will only harm you. If you make the effort to reach out, you'll come to know just how wanted you are, just how irreplaceable you can be. Friends, family, coworkers, people you think that you don't know too well, anyone. We can be all doom and gloom forever, or we can make the effort to find our sunshine. Cheesy and lame, I know, but take it as is. Thank you for watching. Take care.
