Seamless Crochet Color Change

While I was crocheting a ripple blanket, I decided that I didn’t really like the way the colors changed. I started out using the normal method of just crocheting over the previous color as usual, but that leaves a very noticeable change. I couldn’t find much on the internet, so I devised this new strategy! It’s a lot better than crocheting in front or back loops (which still leaves you with a ‘good’ side and a ‘bad’ side) and it’s still entirely done as one piece, so there’s no joining involved. Chances are this is already a well-known method that I've never heard of, but I couldn't find anything about it, so here it is!
