The dimensions of my whole piece of wood (together with a 'handle') were: 7 cm x 2.5 cm x 1.7 cm or 2 3/4 x 1 x 5/8 I used oak for the second project. The dimensions of my piece were: 8.5 cm x 2.5 cm x 1.2 cm or 3 5/16 x 1 x 1/2 in imperial units (hopefully it makes sense, I am still struggling with these units).
