Tobias Forge’s DEATH METAL Past Is Back. Why Now?

Tobias Forge is bringing Repugnant, his long-lost death metal band, back from the dead. The news puts Forge’s earlier extreme-metal project back in focus and creates a striking contrast with the artist many fans know as the frontman of Ghost. The confirmed detail in the report is the return of Repugnant. The announcement, as described, does not establish what the comeback will involve, so questions about future recordings, live appearances, or how far the project will go remain open rather than settled. For metal fans, Repugnant’s return is notable because it reconnects Tobias Forge with a death metal chapter of his career that had been out of view. We look at what has been reported, how Repugnant fits into Forge’s musical history, and what this news does—and does not—tell us about the project’s next steps. #TobiasForge #Repugnant #Ghost #DeathMetal #SwedishDeathMetal #ExtremeMetal #HeavyMetal #MetalNews #RockNews #MetalScene #UndergroundMetal #MetalMusician
