Porsche 944 Instrument Cluster Removal / Odometer Repair

I previous replaced the odometer gear on my 1986 Porsche 944. After approximately 1k miles the odometer stopped working again. I decided to remove the cluster to inspect the odometer. Forums show that it is common for parts of the old broken gear to get stuck in the mechanism. While I'm not showing the gear replacement, this is a basic tear down and install. After blowing out the gears (off camera) the odometer is working again. #automobile #diy #porsche #porsche944
