Quantum Go-Drive repair (Quantum GLS85AT)

This video covers replacing the rubber bumpers on the Quantum Go-Drive series. The one in the video is a GLS85AT. These bumpers degrade over time and the HD arm will stick to the rubber bumper and prevent it from functioning. These drives are commonly found in the Compaq Contura Aero series. Some Macs use the SCSI version of this drive. This guide should cover the repair on all Quantum Go-Drives. Disclaimer: This drive probably had bad sectors on it before it was in my possession. I did have some read issues after doing the repair. It is possible that my issues with the heads did some damage. I cannot guarantee this repair will restore functionality on your Go-Drive.
