Mweelrea via Silverstrand

This is Connaught's highest mountain that offers unbeatable views from the top on a clear day, overlooking Killary Fjord and Delphi Valley on one side, and the Atlantic with its picture-perfect beaches on the other side. This is a challenging climb but well worth the effort with rewarding views. Take care in poor weather and be cautious over rough terrain underfoot as there is quite difficult terrain to navigate. Make sure to enjoy a post-hike swim at the beautiful Silver Strand beach if possible.
