Hike 8 | 2026 | Utah Summer Hiking Series

Welcome to Hike #8 in my Utah Summer Hiking Series! This week's hike is the Brighton Lakes & Peaks Loop! 8️⃣⛰️🥳 The summer is winding down, right as our hikes are winding up! As promised, we're steadily increasing the difficulty of our hikes each week. This hike will bring us up multiple steep climbs, and keep us up around 10,000' in elevation for miles! Not only is this week's hike one of the most beautiful hikes in all of Utah - a true bucket list hike - but it will also increase our hiking fitness! This will be so important for our last hike of the summer (and the last hike in this Summer Hiking Series). 🏞️ The Brighton Lakes & Peaks Loop is 7.7 miles roundtrip, with 2,559' of gain, and maximum elevation of 10,795'! 📈 This hike is located in Big Cottonwood Canyon, which is a protected watershed, and therefore dogs are NOT allowed! 🚫 There is no fee to park or hike in this area.
