Poughkeepsie Gulch Tuesday August 8, 2023

Day 4 was also a redemption day of sorts for us. "The Wall" at the top of Poughkeepsie Gulch was a goal for all us to ride clean since our 2018 trip. Intead of riding up the Gulch from North to South, the plan was to take the Corkscrew Gulch/Hurricane Pass route to Poughkeepsie Gulch and run down the Gulch from South to North. However, we took the scenic route with a wrong turn taking us on an out and back of Alaska Basin. Took some extra time, but the views were worth it. Once we finally got to the top of the wall, we all rode down it and then all had a clean ride up it, redeeming our 2018 trip. Finished the day heading down Poughkeepsie and Mineral Creek, and back into Ouray.
