We came into the weekend ready to compete, but our own car broke down and suddenly the whole plan changed. Fortunately, two of our customers stepped up and let our drivers compete in their cars. That turned the weekend into something completely different: adapting quickly, learning unfamiliar setups, and trying to make the most of a bad situation at one of the most competitive autocross events we attend. This video follows the team through the SCCA ProSolo weekend at Crow’s Landing, including the runs, the setbacks, and what it’s like trying to compete when the car you planned to drive is no longer an option. Both cars were built around the same kind of chassis development we focus on at ZEVcentric: proper alignment, suspension setup, wheel fitment, and getting the car to work as a complete package rather than just bolting on parts. If you autocross or track a Tesla, the details matter. Alignment, camber, ride height, wheel and tire setup, damping, and overall balance all affect how the car behaves when you’re actually competing.
