Three young men from Ocean Springs received death threats after leaving Horn Island without their friend. Their attorney sent a cease-and-desist to Reverend Al Sharpton. Strangers in three states were criminally charged for threatening a judge and witnesses, per CNN, the Washington Post, and NBC News. All of it traces back to a single unresolved contradiction. Katie McCormack's sister Gracie told the Daily Mail that Katie assumed Nolan was boarding the boat. Warren Hudson told TMZ that Katie texted someone the next day describing the opposite, per TMZ's July 27 reporting. Ben Crump stated at a July 10 press conference that one of them must not be telling the truth, per WLOX and TheGrio. Nolan's phone returned with two empty Snapchat accounts and a Life360 mismatch, per The Shade Room. Federal subpoenas targeted five platforms demanding records, per WLBT and Law and Crime. Katie has not spoken publicly. No one has been charged with any crime related to Nolan's death, per CNN.
