You don't need to know everything to score 150 in NEET chemistry. But writing off one branch makes 150 mathematically impossible. Skip inorganic, and your ceiling in Re-NEET 2026 would have been 116 out of 180. Shashank Surapoor (3rd year MBBS, JIPMER) scored 170/180 in chemistry. In this video he breaks down why physical, inorganic and organic each fail in a different place, and the exact system he used to fix each one. Physical breaks when you try to solve. Inorganic breaks when you try to remember. Organic breaks when you try to connect. 📌 Chapter-wise priorities are pinned in the comments. CHAPTERS 0:00 The one mistake that makes 150 impossible 1:48 Physical Chemistry 4:52 How many questions to practice 6:08 Inorganic Chemistry 7:26 The hidden topic 8:35 Build one consolidated notebook 9:39 How to revise the notebook 12:15 Organic Chemistry 15:45 Where to practice organic questions 16:48 When to do organic PYQs 17:17 Exam-hall strategy: which order to attempt 18:02 Recap RESOURCES MENTIONED • NTA NEET UG 2026 syllabus (official). Check what's actually in it before you study. • Older NCERT chemistry edition, for the p-block chapters (groups 13 - 18) cut from the current books • NCERT chemistry lab manual, for "principles related to practical chemistry" (salt analysis, titration, preparations) • Current NCERT: in-text questions, solved examples and back exercises • Re-NEET 2026 paper. Question split: physical 15, inorganic 16, organic 14 📌 CHAPTER-WISE PRIORITIES Numbers = questions in the Re-NEET 2026 chemistry paper (21 June). Where coaching analyses disagree, I've given the range. INORGANIC: memory system, one consolidated notebook 1. Coordination Compounds: 6 Qs. The single biggest chapter. Learn the theory first, then solve. 2. d & f Block: 4 Qs. Trends + K₂Cr₂O₇ and KMnO₄ (both named in the syllabus). 3. Chemical Bonding: 2 - 3 Qs. 4. Classification & Periodicity: 2 Qs. One good one-shot + your notes is enough. 5. p-Block (groups 13 - 18): 0 - 1 Q, but it's still in the 2026 syllabus. Study trends + first-element behaviour from the OLD NCERT edition. ➕ Practical chemistry (salt analysis, titration, preparations): from the NCERT lab manual, not the textbook. PHYSICAL: solve it yourself, same day 1. Some Basic Concepts (mole concept): 2 - 3 Qs, and it feeds every other physical chapter. Master it first. 2. Thermodynamics: 3 Qs 3. Electrochemistry · Chemical Kinetics · Solutions · Redox: 2 Qs each 4. Equilibrium · Structure of Atom: 0 - 1 Q each. Don't skip, but don't over-invest. ORGANIC: one reaction map, built in order 1. GOC: 0 - 2 direct Qs, but every other organic chapter sits on it. Do it properly first. 2. Hydrocarbons: 3 - 5 Qs 3. Biomolecules: 3 Qs. Don't skip the amino acids table, the syllabus names it directly. 4. Aldehydes, Ketones & Carboxylic Acids: 2 - 3 Qs 5. Amines: 1 - 3 Qs ➕ Haloalkanes, alcohols & ethers didn't show up much this time. Which branch is your biggest problem right now? Reply below 👇 #NEET2027 #NEETChemistry #NEETPreparation #JIPMER #NCERT
