Pokémon’s 30th Celebration has surprisingly generous pull rates—but standard Elite Trainer Boxes are still selling around $160. Does that price make sense, or are collectors paying too much for the anniversary hype? In this video, I compare current prices from local game stores, TCGplayer and eBay with data from a community study covering 4,063 packs. We’ll examine the reported odds of pulling a Special Illustration Rare, the much tougher Futuristic Rare odds, and what those numbers actually mean when an ETB contains only nine packs.
