The absolute highlight of this one-night-only event was the performance by the Asheville Bluegrass Band. Far from an ordinary group, this was an all-star bluegrass supergroup packed with world-class talent, featuring: Mike Bont and Anders Beck of Greensky Bluegrass Jason Carter (the acclaimed Nashville-based fiddle player from The Del McCoury Band and The Travelin' McCourys) Jon Stickley of the Jon Stickley Trio, and Jon Stickley Ashgrass Band Thomas Cassell (National Mandolin Champion) Christian Ferri (upright bass from the High Top Boys, Jon Stickley Ashgrass Band, and Taste - a Phish tribute band) This powerhouse ensemble joined forces for an exclusive evening, blending traditional hard-driving bluegrass with expansive jamgrass improvisation.
