Are your threads not true-to-gauge? In this episode of Chips & Tricks, we explore the causes and provide you with a short checklist to help you find and avoid possible sources of error: ► Pre-drill diameter too small? Then your thread tap will have to process too much material and the thread will be too large. Our rule of thumb will help you choose the correct pre-drill diameter! ► Got a problem with the angle or position of your threaded core hole? This problem is solved by clamping the workpiece correctly! ► Incorrect cutting speed and chip jam? It’s cool to cool if you want to remove chips properly! The oil content of your emulsion is also crucial! ► Is miscutting causing you problems with your pitch?
