Showing my friend Mercurial World DELUXE - Magdalena Bay Reaction Review

Just Heard is a show about listening to and chatting about music! Brought to you by two avid music enjoyers, T and Breandax. In this episode T and Breandax return to Magdalena Bay's first full length album Mercurial World! You might remember Magdalena Bay from our very first episode where we covered "Imaginal Disc." Now, we're exploring their full-length debut, an album that builds a rich, apocalyptic world with its incredible sound and themes. We'll discuss how their intentional and layered production, from the deep basslines to the video game-inspired filtered vocals, creates a unique and immersive experience. In this video, we go track-by-track, exploring the funky, groovy, and sometimes melancholic soundscape of "Mercurial World." We'll break down our thoughts on the lyricism, the "crying on the dance floor" vibe, and how the album comments on everything from unconditional love to the futility of blindly following life's prescribed paths. If you're a fan of synth-pop, electronic music, or just love discovering artists with a unique vision, this video is for you!
