As women, we want to wear what we want, when we want, wherever we want—without fear of judgment from other Christian women. However, while many things may be permissible, not everything is helpful. We have to be careful that pride, selfishness, or a desire to please the world doesn’t begin to influence the way we dress. So what does the Bible actually say about modesty? And how should it change the way we think about the clothes we wear? Let’s take a biblical look at modesty—and ask ourselves: are we dressing for ourselves, or are we dressing to honor God?
