Deep Woods Frontier: Logging in northern Michigan

Logging was perhaps the most transformative environmental process in Michigan’s natural history. This illustrated presentation with author and historian Theodore Karamanski explores the origin, evolution, and impact of the forest products industry on the Wolverine State in the 1800s.
