Assamese macaque seen in southwest China's Yunnan reserve

A troop of Assamese macaques has been seen feeding and resting in Gaoligong Mountain National Nature Reserve in southwest China's Yunnan. Known as one of the larger macaque species, Assamese macaques are rarely documented in China, with an estimated population of 8,000 to 10,000. With smart protection systems in place, the reserve is a healthy and safe haven for more than 3,000 wild animal species. #ChinaBiodiversity #PlanetMatters
