The Mountains Shall Depart | PG Songs

The Mountains Shall Depart From Every One to His Own Way Listen and read the lyrics: https://pgsongs.com/every-one-his-own... There was a hill behind our house Where I learned to watch the sky I'd lie there in the summer grass And let the clouds go by They cut it down for a shopping strip The year I moved away And I drove by it yesterday And couldn't find the place Everything I leaned on Has been moving all along The mountains shall depart (shall depart) And the hills be carried away But His kindness won't depart from me His peace is here to stay The mountains shall depart (shall depart) And the ground beneath me too But the covenant He made with me Is still holding true My mother's hands have gotten thin My father walks with a cane My own face in the window glass Is learning to show the strain Everything I thought was rock Is shifting like the sand But I am held and I am kept By an everlasting hand Everything I leaned on Has been moving all along The mountains shall depart (shall depart) And the hills be carried away But His kindness won't depart from me His peace is here to stay The mountains shall depart (shall depart) And the ground beneath me too But the covenant He made with me Is still holding true The LORD that hath mercy on me (mercy on me) Has never moved at all And when the last hill crumbles His kindness won't fall The mountains shall depart (shall depart) And the hills be carried away But His kindness won't depart from me His peace is here to stay The mountains shall depart (shall depart) And the ground beneath me too But the covenant He made with me Is still holding true Still holding true
