2,900 Miles Through Europe 🇪🇸🇬🇧🇳🇴 | Ships, Fjords & Norway's Most Scenic Roads | ETS2

This was NOT the route I originally planned… 😂 The original plan was simple: start in Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸, drive through France 🇫🇷 and Germany 🇩🇪, continue north and finally reach Oslo, Norway 🇳🇴. But instead of taking the traditional European route, I decided to experiment with the map and save time by using ships. From Barcelona, I headed toward the western side of Spain before taking a ferry across to Plymouth, United Kingdom 🇬🇧. From Plymouth, I continued north to Grimsby, where another ship took me all the way toward Norway. The idea was simple: Take the ships → avoid thousands of kilometres of driving → reach Norway faster. And technically… it worked. 😂 I saved roughly 1,300 km of road travel compared with the original route. BUT THEN I REACHED NORWAY. 🇳🇴 Norway completely changed the game. With mountains, fjords and countless waterways cutting across the landscape, the “shortcut” turned into a completely different adventure. Instead of simply driving north, I had to use around 7–8 ferries to continue the journey. What was supposed to be a time-saving route eventually became an almost 2,900-mile / 4,670-km European adventure. And honestly… I'm glad it happened this way. This journey takes us through some of the most scenic roads and landscapes in Euro Truck Simulator 2, including the spectacular Norwegian scenery around the Nordic Horizon region. 🌍 Route: 🇪🇸 Barcelona → Western Spain 🚢 Spain → Plymouth 🇬🇧 Plymouth → Grimsby 🚢 Grimsby → Norway 🇳🇴 Norway → Fjords, Ferries & Scenic Roads 🏁 Final destination: Bodø 🚛 Distance: ~2,900 miles / ~4,670 km ⛴️ Ferries: 7–8 🗺️ Route: A completely improvised alternative to the original Spain → France → Germany → Norway plan Current Job: Ajaccio → Bodø Sometimes the shortest route isn't the best route.
