What happens when you take God of War 2, one of the greatest PS2 games ever made, and remaster it with DLSS 5, HD textures and modern neural rendering? In this video, we're pushing the 2007 classic to its limits to see just how good God of War II can look in 2026 at 4K 60 FPS. Nearly 20 years after its original release, God of War II still holds up remarkably well — but modern PC graphics technology can take it much further. We're using DLSS 5 neural rendering, an HD texture pack and enhanced graphics to transform the original PS2 experience while keeping the visual identity of classic God of War intact. Throughout the video you'll see DLSS 5 ON vs OFF comparisons, different neural processing configurations, single, double and triple neural passes, upgraded textures, improved image quality and plenty of real God of War II gameplay. The goal isn't to turn God of War II into a completely different game. It's to answer a much more interesting question: How close can we get to remastering a nearly 20-year-old PS2 game using modern PC graphics technology?
