HS2 Route Radstone to Greatworth November 2021

Route of the ever pointless HS2, taken in October 2021 from a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom. As was entirely predictable, progress remains ridiculously slow. But then the only real point of this mindless project is for the benefit of the railway people, not the public who are stumping the horrific build costs, and also stumping over 50%* of the running costs the horrific running costs. *50% is the HS2 figure assuming they fill 20 trains an hour, 24x7, with 1200 passengers per train. Which is cloud cuckoo land, even before they decided on lower capacity trains running 16 times an hour, meaning more subsidy required. And all before the world changed and commuting every day is no longer a thing now. Although even pre pandemic, the best they could hope for would be to mostly fill 2 or 3 of the peak time trains per day, not all 500 trains a day...
