Fishing on Oahu: ELIJAH'S 1st ULUA - SLIDE BAITING LIVE

In this video we show you how Elijah caught his first ulua from shore. He's caught a couple from the boat but never from shore. We actually thought it was a big papio until we got the weight. It weighed almost 11 pounds. Elijah shows you how to get an oama bait further out than when you use them for dunking. Oama's are a super soft bait, so you really can't whip them out there with out the oama coming off a lot of the time. So we just slide bait them down with a smaller hook and smaller line. Jaidon also shows you 4 different types of slide baiting rigs and how they work.
