Sherwood Pines After the STORM! ⛈️ Flooded Off-Piste MTB Adventure

What happens to the hidden trails at Sherwood Pines after a serious downpour and thunderstorm? ⛈️🚵 We went off-piste to find out! This time I’m joined by Mark and Richard for another MTB adventure around Sherwood Pines. They’re both riding e-bikes, while I’m sticking with the analogue bike — Triple B — which means another serious workout trying to keep up! After the previous night’s thunderstorm and torrential rain, we knew there would be a few puddles waiting for us. What we didn’t expect was just how wet some of the trails would be. Our first stop is Rollercoaster and Single-Track Heaven, although after the downpour Rollercoaster feels more like a LOG FLUME! 🌊 With Richard taking over navigation duties, we head deeper off-piste and discover a trail I’ve never ridden before, along with what appears to be a hidden river running through the forest. Whether it was there before the storm or created by all that rain, I’m still not sure! From there, the adventure gets even more interesting — dead ends, seriously overgrown trails, getting cut to shreds by the vegetation and a slight navigational detour that eventually dumps us out onto a busy road. Getting across that turns into a real-life game of Frogger! 😂 Eventually we make it safely back into Sherwood Pines and finish the ride with a mixture of familiar and unfamiliar on-piste and off-piste MTB trails.
