Galicia regional tax deductions in the 2026 Renta: children, rent and textbooks If in 2026 you are a tax resident in Galicia (you spend more days there than in any other region), you can subtract these Xunta deductions from your IRPF: • per child born or adopted: €360, €1,200 or €2,400 depending on the order, for 3 years, if your base minus the minimum is not over €22,000 • 20% more in the year of birth if you live in a municipality with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants • €250 with two children, or from €250 with a large family title • 30% of the nursery or carer for children up to 3, up to €400 or €600, if both parents work and the base minus the minimum is not over €22,000 individual (€31,000 joint) • rent up to age 35: 10%, up to €300 (20% and €600 with two or more minor children) • textbooks and school supplies: 15%, up to €105 per child Note: they only reduce the regional part of your tax. If that part is 0, you get nothing, unlike the State maternity deduction. For rent, your base cannot exceed €22,000, and the limit is all or nothing. The 2026 Renta is filed in 2027.
