Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has appealed to political parties, students’ unions, community-based organisations, civil society groups, village elders and people from SUMP-affected areas to join an all-party and civil society delegation for village-to-village visits in the Siang Valley. The committee said the visit aims to understand the ground situation, hear the concerns of affected villagers and document their views on the Siang Upper Multipurpose Project (SUMP). The APCC has also urged organisations and affected communities to nominate at least one representative to accompany its sub-committee during the field visits.
