Major Encounter in Kashmir: Lashkar Commander Musa Killed | Yousmarg Search Operation A major security operation has taken place in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district, where security forces reported killing a Lashkar-e-Taiba commander identified in reports as Musa, also known as Hashim Musa. The operation was launched in the Yousmarg/Korag area following intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists. The Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu & Kashmir Police were involved in the joint search operation. Reports have linked Musa to several terror-related cases in Jammu and Kashmir, including the 2025 Pahalgam terror attack. His associate Yasir was killed during an earlier encounter in the Yousmarg area on September 5. Security forces continued search operations in the area following the encounter.
