Ahmed Kathrada shares his memories of Nelson Mandela

Ahmed Kathrada is a veteran anti-apartheid activist who was jailed for life on 12 June 1964, with Nelson Mandela, Walter Sisulu, Raymond Mhlaba, Denis Goldberg, Govan Mbeki, Elias Motsoaledi and Andrew Mlangeni. The group is known as the Rivonia trialists and were close friends and comrades in prison and after their release. He is affectionately known as "Mr. K" and Kathy" by those close to him and was a close friend to former President Mandela.
