Symphony No.10 – Ludwig van Beethoven (as reconstructed by Hideaki Shichida)

Something I made using MuseScore 4 based on PDFs I found based on Beethoven's 10th Symphony as reconstructed by Hideaki Shichida. It is released under the Creative Commons Attribution, non-commercial, share alike license. This uses the MuseSounds sound profile instead of the default MuseScore one. You can download the sheet music at https://musescore.com/user/41033328/s... Beethoven started work on a 10th symphony before his death but never got to finish it. In 2011, Hideaki Shichida used the sketches Beethoven had made to make this symphony. Mr. Shichida writes: The bulk of this piece consists of material by Ludwig van Beethoven himself, or motives developed from them. For example: The second theme in the first movement is derived from the first theme in the same movement and so is the second theme in the fourth movement. As for the connection between movements, the note at the end of the first movement is a "C" and the second movement also begins with "C." The note at the end of the second movement is A-flat, and the third movement begins with "G", a half-step lower. Other points include a basso ostinato right before the ending of the first movement. The Scherzo is in ABABA form. The symphony can be played by period instruments such as natural trumpets and natural horns, because the instrumentation and notation is in accordance with Beethoven's orchestral works of the 1820s.
