Preikestolen, also known as Pulpit Rock, is one of Norway's most iconic natural landmarks. The hike to this stunning cliff offers breathtaking views of the Lysefjord and is an absolute must for adventure seekers. When we tackled this adventure, our journey began in an autocaravan, which added a sense of freedom and convenience to the experience. The hike itself is about 8 kilometers round trip, and it usually takes 4 to 5 hours to complete, depending on your pace. It’s moderately challenging, with rocky paths, some steep sections, and plenty of spots where you’ll need to scramble over boulders. But the effort is worth it. The trail weaves through diverse terrains—forests, marshes, and rocky plateaus—each offering its unique beauty. Reaching the top, standing on the massive, flat cliff that juts out 604 meters above the fjord, was a surreal moment. The panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the turquoise waters of the fjord were simply unforgettable. With a group of Punjabi friends, this journey was even more memorable, filled with laughter, shared snacks, and plenty of photo stops along the way.
