trying the deserres punch needle kit so you don't have to ⇓

Another day, another cheap punch needle kit to review! And unfortunately for us, when we are trying out punch needle kits from big box craft stores, we are often left with disappointment because these seemingly "beginner" kits do not include the proper tools or materials for the craft. In this video, I am reviewing the DeSerres punch needle kit, which I purchased for $20 CAD (using my own money!!!) I quite like DeSerres as a store and I was really expecting better from them compared to other craft stores like Michaels or online retailers like Amazon. And while this punch needle pattern design was beautiful and included a nice punch needle and plenty of yarn, it simply missed the mark overall, due to the fact that it included a broken needle threader and a wooden embroidery hoop (which does not hold tension well enough for punch needle). If you're new to punch needle & want to try out a cheap kit before investing more money, this kit is fine (But if, and only if, you purchase a plastic no-slip hoop along with it! And perhaps some wire threaders if you run into the same problem that I did in this video!) BTW I'm not linking the punch needle kit (because DeSerres is not paying me to advertise them LOL)—the kit can be easily found via a simple internet search ^-^ Hope you enjoy this video!
