Tyler Ray Submits Shaun Asher in Round 1 to Claim LFS Middleweight Title at Night of Champions
Chase Haehnle dethrones Joel Aldridge for the LFS amateur lightweight belt as 14 bouts light up MegaCorp Pavilion in Newport
NEWPORT, Ky. — Legends Fight Series (LFS) brought Night of Champions to MegaCorp Pavilion on Saturday, September 12, 2026, with a 14-bout professional and amateur MMA card in front of a packed Northern Kentucky crowd.
In the main event, Cincinnati-born Tyler "Wolverine" Ray (12-6) submitted Cincinnati veteran Shaun "The Bully" Asher (15-6-1) with an arm-triangle choke at 2:19 of the first round to claim the vacant LFS professional middleweight championship.
Fight Night Recap
At least seven of the 14 bouts ended in the first round, and two LFS titles were decided on the night.
Main event — Ray claims middleweight gold. In a scheduled five-round title fight between two Cincinnati-area veterans, Ray, a former Mount St. Joseph wrestler now training with Kill Cliff FC, wasted little time. He locked in an arm-triangle choke midway through the opening round to win the vacant LFS middleweight championship.
Frazer finishes fast. Hunter "Fatality" Frazer stopped William "The Famous" Davis with punches at 1:11 of Round 1 in their pro welterweight bout.
Slagle wins pro debut. Columbus' Jeremiah Slagle went the distance with Cincinnati's Ethan Riley, taking a unanimous decision in his first professional fight at welterweight.
Perkins submits Silverthorn. Grant Perkins won his professional debut at bantamweight with a first-round triangle choke of Tyler Silverthorn.
New amateur lightweight champion. Cincinnati's Chase "George" Haehnle (4-0) took the LFS amateur lightweight title from Joel "All Day" Aldridge, stopping the defending champion with strikes at 2:20 of Round 1.
Neal tops Lewis. Josh Neal defeated Joseph Lewis in an amateur middleweight bout billed for the vacant LFS amateur middleweight title.
Lightning on the undercard. Brandon Phelps needed just six seconds to stop Brian Hooper with an overhand right at light heavyweight. Cincinnati's Soloman "King" Topolski submitted Gedeon Mugabe with a von Flue choke at 0:56, and Travis Riley stopped Biram Bawo at 1:32 of Round 1.
Rest of the card. Hayden Goff earned a unanimous decision over Noah White, and Marc Izzi, CJ Spinosi, Richard Adkins and Thomas Graves also picked up wins on the amateur card.
