Child support laws are changing, and the conversation around 50/50 custody, shared parenting, child support calculations, and fathers’ rights is getting much bigger. As states rethink how parenting time affects child support, men are asking another question: What happens when a father pays more child support than he actually owed? In this video, Remi Rene breaks down the changing child support conversation surrounding shared custody, parenting-time calculations, child support overpayments, and possible refunds. We look at changes involving states including Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, and Kentucky and why increased parenting time is raising new questions about how child support should be calculated.
