This Supercharged Porsche 924 Punches Way Above Its Weight

The 924 is the Porsche nobody talks about — until you meet Glenn's. This one runs a Toyota supercharger, a Falcon throttle body, custom boost and oil gauges where the heater controls used to be, and a big oil cooler up front. It's light, it's loud, and on the track it disappears through the corners while everyone else is still trying to work out what just happened. I sat down with Glenn and walked around every inch of this thing. The engine build started with Stuart Whitfield, a legend of the local 924 scene — Glenn bought the car not running, found Stu's phone number left in one of the manuals, gave him a call, and the two have been mates ever since. The ECU tune came later after a few false starts (there's a story about a "Paris Hilton tune" you'll want to hear from Glenn himself). Ray dialled it in properly and now it lives on boost, punching well above its 2-litre four-cylinder pay grade. Full confession: I used to own a 924 myself, so this one was personal. First time we've had a running 924 on the channel and Glenn's build is genuinely one of the best examples I've come across — practical, quick, and quietly under-the-radar.
