Самые быстрые пловчихи на 100 м вольным стилем по годам 1956–2026

Welcome to Wolf Data, rom 1956 to 2026, the women’s 100m freestyle evolved dramatically as generations of elite swimmers pushed the limits of speed. From the pioneering performances of Dawn Fraser—who became the first woman to break the one-minute barrier—to later champions such as Kornelia Ender, Kristin Otto, Jenny Thompson, Inge de Bruijn, Jodie Henry, Libby Trickett, Britta Steffen, Cate Campbell, Sarah Sjöström, Emma McKeon, Mollie O’Callaghan and Marrit Steenbergen, the event experienced more than seven decades of extraordinary progress. Sjöström’s 51.71 world record from 2017 stood for nearly nine years before Steenbergen lowered the long-course record to 51.68 seconds in Rome on June 27, 2026. Advances in training, technique, starting blocks, underwater efficiency, sports science, pool technology and swimwear all contributed to increasingly faster performances. This 1956–2026 timeline follows the fastest female 100m freestyle swimmers of each year and shows how one of swimming’s premier sprint events progressed from the one-minute barrier toward the 51-second range. 🏊‍♀️🌊 ⛲Sources: ▫️World Aquatics Swimming Records ▫️International Long-course Results ▫️Historical World-record Progression Data 💻Editor: ▫️Filmora 🖼️Thumbnails: ▫️Canva Female Swimmers featured in the video: Dawn Fraser Chris von Saltza Ann-Christine Hagberg Robyn Johnson Pokey Watson Jane Barkman Sue Pedersen Gabriele Wetzko Shane Gould Kornelia Ender Barbara Krause Cynthia Woodhead Caren Metschuck Birgit Meineke Kristin Otto Heike Friedrich Katrin Meissner Zhuang Yong Angel Martino Jenny Thompson Franziska van Almsick Le Jingyi Inge de Bruijn Natalie Coughlin Hanna-Maria Seppala Jodie Henry Libby Lenton Britta Steffen Libby Trickett Ranomi Kromowidjojo Sarah Sjostrom Cate Campbell Bronte Campbell Simone Manuel Emma McKeon Mollie O'Callaghan Siobhan Haughey Torri Huske Marrit Steenbergen
