One Day in Santorini 🇬🇷 | Cruise Port to Fira & Oia + I Walked the Donkey Trail!

Santorini, Greece 🇬🇷 might be one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited! We tendered into Santorini from our cruise ship and started our day by taking the famous cable car up the mountain to Fira. After exploring the town for a while, we found the local bus and headed over to Oia — and WOW. The whitewashed buildings, blue domes, cliffs and views over the Aegean Sea were every bit as incredible as we had hoped. We spent the afternoon walking the streets of Oia, taking way too many pictures 😂, exploring another beautiful church, and enjoying lunch on an amazing patio overlooking the water. Afterward, we took the local bus back to Fira for a little shopping, some wine, and, of course, a souvenir bottle opener to remember Santorini. 🍷🇬🇷 Then came the fun part… Kristi made the intelligent decision and took the cable car back down to the port. I decided I needed the full Santorini experience and WALKED DOWN. 😂 That meant navigating the famous winding path while dodging donkeys, tourists…and plenty of donkey poop. 🫏💩 Definitely an experience I’ll never forget! Santorini completely lived up to the hype. Fira was beautiful, Oia was spectacular, and this ended up being another incredible day on our Mediterranean adventure. Thanks for coming along with us!
