Inspired by how a single line can flow, intersect, connect and transform, the collection liberates line art from its two-dimensional canvas and translates it into three-dimensional fashion through pleating, couching, layering, fabric manipulation and structural draping. It explores: Surpur Line Art Expressive line work Fabric manipulation Pleating and couching Layered construction Structural draping Sculptural silhouettes Organic movement Transformation and self-expression Avant-garde fashion 🧵 Materials & Colours Fabrics: Black and White Armani, Black and White Organza, Grey Shimmer Georgette Techniques: Pleating, Couching, Layering and Fabric Manipulation Colours: Black, White and Luminous Grey 🎨 Design Process & Challenges The predominant challenge was keeping the lines as alive and expressive as they appear in the artist's sketches while translating them into garments. Fabric and colour selection were carefully considered to preserve the essence of the line art. The lines were brought onto the garments through fabric manipulation, creating movement, rhythm and dimension.
