You want to know why I save my bookbinding scraps? Even the small ones that people ask me why I save them? In this video I’ll show you what I made from leftover paper, board, cloth, and even a scrap of canvas. You’ll see an accordion fold book from leftover watercolor paper, a folded envelope lined with decorative paper I saved for years, a tool box for a tool that kept getting lost in my drawer, and a staircase box covered in cheap marbled wrapping paper. I’ll also show you a clamshell box with navy and gold tissue paper, a handmade pocket journal with French link stitch and an exposed spine that opens flat, and a tissue paper box made from the paper I kept the longest. Stay to the end for that one. Every project proves the same idea: the extra piece you almost threw away can become something special. If you love paper crafts, handmade books, and DIY bookbinding at home, this one is for you. Want to go from someone who watches to someone who makes books? Join the Agassi Bookbinding Community.
