The BJP took out a protest march in West Delhi’s Hari Nagar, demanding an apology from Congress and Rahul Gandhi over the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. The march was held ahead of the INDIA bloc’s Vote Bachao Desh Bachao rally at Ramlila Maidan.
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, who led the march, described the 1984 violence against Sikhs as a planned massacre rather than a spontaneous riot.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, BJP Delhi president Harsh Malhotra, Delhi minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa and senior advocate HS Phoolka also participated, along with several Sikh leaders.
