Today we are putting our Saigon tour on hold for a couple of days as I've had the opportunity to head to the capital Hanoi to check out the new part of Hanoi, at the Vinhomes Ocean Park. I wasn't expecting to like the place as I thought it might lack character but there is so much authentic northern Vietnamese restaurants here that it's mind blowing. I'm going to show you all around for the next few days but I wanted to kick things off with an epic Eel shop where we had eel soup, eel congee and ell mungbean noodles.
