Seven in the morning, and Hanoi is already wide awake. This is a completely normal day in my life — no plans, no script, just my motorbike, a bowl of pho, a local market, and two very hungry cats waiting for me at home. I'm Dung. I'm 30, I got married earlier this year, and my wife and I live in a 48 square meter apartment (about 516 sq ft) in Vinhomes Smart City, on the western edge of Hanoi. I work freelance, which means my days rarely look the same twice — except for one thing. Every single morning, I get on my bike and ride to the same pho shop. It has no sign. The plastic stools have seen better decades. And it sits directly across the street from the JW Marriott Hanoi — the hotel where President Obama's delegation stayed in May 2016, and where President Trump stayed during the 2019 US–North Korea summit. Two presidents slept there. I eat breakfast here. Same street, two completely different worlds. This video follows that — one real day, start to finish. A quiet walk through a Japanese garden before the city wakes up. Rush hour on a motorbike with seven million others doing the same thing. A two-dollar bowl of pho that's better than most $20 meals I've had anywhere. An afternoon at the local market, buying vegetables and pork for less than most people spend on a coffee. And an evening that ends the way it always does — cooking dinner with my wife, and getting interrupted by two very demanding cats named Mon and Pio. Nothing dramatic happens in this video. That's kind of the point. This is just what a day actually looks like here — not the tourist version, just real life in Hanoi. If you've ever wondered what it's actually like to live in Vietnam — the food, the cost, the chaos, the quiet moments in between — I hope this gives you an honest look. This is the first video on this channel, and I'll be making more of these every week. Thanks for spending the day with me. 📍 Filmed in Hanoi, Vietnam 🏠 Living in a 48 sqm apartment, Vinhomes Smart City If you enjoyed this, subscribe — next week I'm showing you the full apartment tour, all 48 square meters of it. #hanoilife #LifeInVietnam #VietnamDailyLife #TinyApartmentLiving #StreetFood #pov
