Running shoes have padding, which makes sense, but I suspected that the padding mutes the pedal feel, so I started my search for driving shoes. I am sure I missed some other brands or shoes but I was certainly right about the pedal feel. On any car, especially a manual car, having that extra connection and feel really makes a big difference. It adds that extra sensory input and makes the driver and the car more synced.
